Role and Benefits as a Wife Married in Quran

I embraced Islam only here in Dubai three years ago. I live with the man i love without marriage since i was a christian when i decided to convert to Muslim in my own choice he said he will marry me and it happened.

He married me by Quran. And Happened this way, We put our hand together on top of the Quran and we pray some surah.

I want to know what is the meaning of this and my role for him as a wife.

I want to know if this married is valid? and do i have the rights for his properties.

Please help me.
